HUSARZ 1629
We present the silhouette of a Hussar Comrade from the year 1629, commemorating the crushing defeat of the elite Swedish reiters at the Battle of Trzciana under Hetman Stanisław Koniecpolski.
VISIBLE ELEMENTS OF CLOTHING AND ARMAMENT:
HUSSAR SZYSZAK (HELMET): Helmet with laminated neck guard, cheekpieces, nasal guard, and ostrich plume.
HUSSAR HALF-ARMOR: Laminated breastplate and backplate with segmented pauldrons.
SABER (SZABLA): Slightly curved blade with massive yelman.
BROADSWORD (PAŁASZ): Heavy straight double-edged blade with open hilt.
COMBAT ŻUPAN: Dark red quilted under-garment.
DELIA: Crimson ceremonial outer robe fastened with decorative button.
HUSSAR BOOTS: Tall yellow-dyed cavalry boots.
