We present the silhouette of a Lisowczyk from the year 1618 – a soldier of a formation that inspired terror and admiration across Europe, from Moscow to the Rhine. Renowned for speed, audacity, and ruthless efficiency, the Lisowczyks lived by plunder and brotherhood, embodying freedom and ferocity on the battlefield.

KOŁPAK: Tall fur cap decorated with feathers.
ŻUPAN: Simple outer garment fastened with decorative loops.
VAMBRACE (ZARĘKAWIE): Steel guard protecting the left forearm and hand.
SABER (SZABLA): Primary edged weapon of the cavalryman.
COMPOSITE BOW (ŁUK REFLEKSYJNY): Layered recurve bow made of horn, wood, and sinew.
BOW CASE (ŁUBIA): Holster for carrying the bow.
QUIVER (KOŁCZAN): Leather arrow case.
NAHAJKA: Short braided leather whip used as a tool and weapon.
POUCH (KALETKA): Small leather belt bag for personal items.
CAVALRY BOOTS: Soft-shaft leather boots designed for long-distance riding.
